Summary:

Google announced that it has integrated Google Drive with Gmail, allowing users of both services to insert files from Drive directly into their messages. F
ile sizes can be up to 10GB, or 400 times larger than is allowed in a traditional attachment.

Relevance: Gmail is used the most. Somebody included me would have experienced the difficulty related with file size when we send assignment by E-mail. This function will be very useful for students especially who major in Graphic Design.

Quote: "Users can now send files from Google Drive that are 400 times larger than is possible in a traditional attachment."

Article Summary:
Eight years ago today, Mozilla released its own web browser, Firefox, to the world. they were one of the first mainstream open source and user-based projects on the web to really succeed in the spotlight. Adoption of the browser took off like wildfire; the developers had made a browser that people liked. It was different, faster, sleeker and cooler. And it was free! Firefox was the “first alternative browser to really chip away at Microsoft’s Internet Explorer dominance.” It was the first small project from small beginnings that reached prominence quickly. It didn’t have unlimited funding, it wasn’t developed by the greatest minds at some company or on the web, and it wasn’t institutional. But it worked. In many ways, Firefox stands for the potential of the internet. Things were just starting to change in the internet ecosystem towards more open and diverse services and products. Then Firefox burst onto the scene and showed us that we can make whatever we want and we can make it better. Focus on the people and your product will be great.

Relevance to the Class: Internet explore was the most popular browser in the world. It seemed like any browser can not overcome it. However, Google chrome users have been increasing  included me until now. When I read this article it reminds me of Google Chrome. About 2 or 3 years ago, You Tube had gradually stopped their service to internet explore users.  In the context of this situation, Firefox had to do something, which is to provide the first mainstream open source and user-based projects on the web. And it was successful. In our class, somebody use Internet explore, somebody use firefox or google chrome. In order to become Web Designer we should know that their each web browser's strong point, and we should examine how Html language works well on each web browser. This is because some html works really well on Google chrome but not work on internet Explore, which bugs me.
